Main article: Organization Without a Cool Acronym When Perry is no longer undercover, he stands on his hind legs, his front paws resemble hands, and he wears a brown fedora that the agents wear as a "spy uniform". Under his fur, he also has a locket shaped like his webbed feet that shows three pictures of him and his owners, Phineas and Ferb. He also has three dark hairs on his head, a low, long salmon-orange beaver tail, dark brown eyes in an unnatural wall-eyed position, making him look mindlessly stupid, and a duck bill that matches his webbing color. Perry is a greenish-teal platypus with yellow tinged tangerine webbing only on his back feet (odd traits that platypuses outside of Danville don't have). Doofenshmirtz as well, though only on some occasions (" Oil on Candace", " Thaddeus and Thor", " Brain Drain", " Skiddley Whiffers", " When Worlds Collide", " Road to Danville"). He is nice to not only his allies but to his nemesis Dr. He will take immediate action whenever they are threatened (" Journey to the Center of Candace", " Phineas and Ferb Get Busted!", " Oh, There You Are, Perry", " Hide and Seek", Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension, " Where's Perry?", " Where's Perry? (Part Two)", " Phineas and Ferb Save Summer"). He deeply cares about the Flynn-Fletcher family and is afraid to lose them. In " The Best Lazy Day Ever", it is only after he turns everything else affected by the Ugly-inator back to normal that he reverts himself to his normal state. Perry appears to be selfless and devoid of vanity. " Tip of the Day", " Phineas and Ferb Christmas Vacation", " Brain Drain", Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension, " Last Day of Summer"). Because of his serious nature, he rarely shows any happy expressions, such as smiles or laughs, though in some occasions he is shown smiling (e.g. (" Jerk De Soleil", " Boyfriend From 27,000 B.C.", " Traffic Cam Caper", " Skiddley Whiffers").
He is also serious while on duty as an agent, even in front of Major Monogram when he does anything silly or makes fun of something Even though Candace would describe him as just a mindless, smelly animal, Perry still shows signs of intelligence when he's pretending to be a normal pet. As their pet, he lives up to the expectations for a platypus and "doesn't do much". While undercover, Perry can normally be found with his owners, Phineas and Ferb.
According to Phineas, he has always enjoyed listening to music (" Oh, There You Are, Perry"). When they adopted the platypus, he was given the name "Bartholomew", but they renamed him "Perry" as soon as they got home with him ( Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension). The boys chose him because of his wall-eyed gaze that made it appear as though he was looking at both Phineas and Ferb at the same time. Perry was adopted 5 years ago by the Flynn-Fletcher family (after Bucky got ill and left) from an animal shelter run by the O.W.C.A.
